Today we light the third candle—the candle of Joy! This Sunday is often called Gaudete Sunday (Rejoice!), and we celebrate the deep, resilient joy that comes from knowing Christ.
Today, we're holding our Christingle service! The Christingle (Orange) reminds us that Jesus is the light of the world, and our joy is complete in Him. The light we hold represents the good news—the light that shines even in the darkness, as described in John 1:5!
This Advent, we are not just waiting for a gift, but celebrating the incredible gift that has already come! Our joy is founded on the living hope that Christmas brings.
