Today we light the fourth candle—the candle of Love. As we draw closer to Christmas, we reflect on the greatest act of love the world has ever known: God becoming one of us.
Our sermon focus comes from Luke 2, where we see love in its humblest form:
"Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." (Luke 2:11-12)
Love didn’t arrive with a grand parade or a royal decree; Love arrived in a quiet stable, wrapped in simple cloths, and laid in a feeding trough. God’s love isn’t just a feeling—it is a person. In Jesus, God says to us, "I am with you, I know you, and I love you beyond measure."
As we prepare our homes for Christmas, let’s make sure our hearts are the first place we welcome His love.
Christmas is a time to share the love we’ve received! Who is one person you can show a little extra love or kindness to this week? Tag them below or just drop a to commit to sharing God’s love today!
